Brief History
The Anse La Raye Branch library was conceptualized by Deonie Desir, who recognized the need for a community library. It was first located on Front Street. In December 1997, his daughter Lindo Desir was appointed the librarian. She has since then seen the relocation of the library twice; to Church Street and then to its present location on Mole Street.
